5 Now the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. 6 And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, 7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”
8 So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped. 9 Then he said, “If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance.”
The Covenant Renewed
10 And He said: “Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.
Read from Scripture Proverbs 8:1-36 (Wisdom seen completely in the person of Jesus.)
It has been wisely said that many people might have attained wisdom had they not assumed they already had it. One of the keys to becoming a wise individual is to hear the cry of wisdom. To be teachable is an absolute prerequisite to being made wise. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,” Jesus said, “for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6. It is not the one who sits back and thinks he knows it all, but the one who hungers and thirsts to be taught, to be instructed, to be guided by wisdom who will grow. Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding lift up her voice? Proverbs 8:1. Here, wisdom cries out, “Simple ones, foolish ones, come to me.” It is the wise individual who excepts the invitation.
I want to take a look at God’s word to discover a few examples we can follow of wisdom being revealed. The Bible says King Solomon was given wisdom and knowledge because he asked God for it (2 Chronicles 1:8-12). King Solomon is the author of most of the book of Proverbs. God said of him in 1 Kings 3:12, “There has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.” And in 1 Kings 4:29-34 he is called “wiser than all men and is said to have authored three thousand proverbs and one thousand and five songs. In the book of Proverbs it is written “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding,” Proverbs 9:10. King Solomon, the wisest man in the world, I believe wrote the book of Ecclesiastes and came to the conclusion, life on earth has no value when I live for myself and my needs. The whole duty of man is written in Ecclesiastes 12:13 “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.”
Let’s go to the book of Matthew in the New Testament and take a look at the wise men who came from the East. The Bible doesn’t describe these men in detail it just says they were wise men who came from the East following a star in the sky seeking to worship the new born King of the Jews. These wise men were Magi they were into Astrology, God used the stars to draw them to the son. They came super naturally led by a star in the sky.
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” Matthew 2:1-2 “Wise men came to worship Jesus!”
And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold. frankincense, and myrrh. Matthew 2:11 “Wise Men fell down as they acknowledged and entered into the presence of Jesus, worshipping Him!”
Magi, astrologers, counselors, scientist, wise men of that time had been given knowledge of the Christ they came to worship Jesus, the KING of Kings the LORD of Lords they brought gifts in worship to Him. Gold for a Mighty King, frankincense for a Ministering Priest, myrrh for a Martyred Prophet. The wise men came to worship Jesus whom the Apostle Paul writes in the book of Colossians of the mystery of God in whom are hidden treasures. Colossians 2:2-3 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of the Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
On New Years Day January 1, 2013 the first day of this year the MOTR Ministry met a large group of the saints in the body of Christ on top of Mount Soledad. We arrived early before sunrise so that we could together rejoice as the Sun came up in the East revealing the beauty of God’s creation across the San Diego community a beautiful 360 degree view. The Shofar was blown and we acknowledged God’s sovereignty as the sun came up, giving to God our First Fruits in Prayer and Worship to His Holy name. We came seeking God’s super natural wisdom for the coming year in all areas of our lives, for the church body, schools, community and for this Nation. I believe God will answer our prayers and the Holy Spirit will reveal God’s wisdom to us as we draw closer to Him desiring a continuing love relationship with Him that is real and personal. Excepting and receiving the invitation, to come to Him, to following Him, to abide in Him and to obey his commandments.
Jesus said to him, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all you mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40
Jesus Christ the Son of God who came and lived as a man here on this earth the sinless spotless Lamb of God. Told us “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21
1) This year my prayer for you is that you will ask God for super natural wisdom, knowledge and understanding just as King Solomon asked and received from God.
2) I pray your desire will be to be in communion and worship with God just as the wise men followed the star God revealed to them, found Jesus fell down and worshipped Him.
3)I pray you will show Jesus your love for Him by obeying his commandments as the Father and Son come and manifest themselves to you.
Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Psalm 90:14
May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us- yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17
In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.
Someone once said the sweetest sound in any language is the sound of one’s own name. If you’re walking down the street and someone calls your name, you stop dead in your tracks. That person has an immediate effect upon you simply because he knows your name. It was when Jesus uttered her name that Mary finally recognized Him (John 20:16). We are told that the Lord not only knows our names, but that they are engraved on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:16).
The question is, do we know God’s name? The word “God” is not a name at all. It is actually a title like “President” or “Prime Minister.” It describes a position, in reality, it is the master passion of any individual that is his god. What dominates your thinking? What establishes your priorities or agenda? What do you live for? What are you devoted to? That is your god. There is a multitude of gods. But there is only one true and living, great and glorious God-and His name is Lord. Our scripture text says the name of the Lord is a strong tower.
Many scholars believe that the name Lord in Hebrew, written YHWH is pronounced Yahweh. Others say Jehovah. The reason we don’t know its pronunciation is because the Hebrew scholars believed God’s name was too holy to even be pronounced, So they didn’t put vowels in His name. In fact, so highly did they esteem His name that before they wrote YHWH, they would take a bath and put on clean clothes.
Whatever its pronunciation, we see God’s name first revealed in Exodus 3.
As the adopted son of Pharaoh, Moses was second in command of the entire Egyptian empire. But Scripture says he chose to suffer with the people of God rather than to live in the splendor of Pharaoh’s palace(Hebrews 11:24-25). That landed him on the backside of the desert, watching his father-in-law’s sheep. Shepherds were on the bottom rung of the social ladder in Egypt. So here’s Moses, who, only a while earlier had been high and mighty, a lowly shepherd in the desert, where he would remain for forty years while God worked with him and on him. If you feel like you’re in a desert today, have hope. The Lord has something ahead for you, just as he did for Moses…
Moreover He said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. Exodus 3:6
In God’s presence, Moses is acutely aware of his inadequacies, his fleshly tendencies, his unworthiness.
Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. Exodus 3:10
“Moses, I’m drafting you.” God said. “I’ve heard the cry of my people. And I’m choosing you to deliver them.”
And Moses said to God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? Exodus 3:11
“Who am I to do this?” Moses asked, “I’m not even wanted there.” Later, he’ll complain that he’s a poor choice because he stutters. But look at the Lord’s answer…
And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee; When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain. Exodus 3:12
“The issue isn’t who you are, Moses. The issue is who I am,” God answered. “I will guide you and work through you.”
And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Isreal, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, what is his name? What shall I say unto them? Exodus 3:13
“The Israelites are going to ask me who sent me,” Moses said. “What shall I say to them?” And for the first time in all of history, God identifies His name clearly and unmistakably…
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. Exodus3:14
“Tell the people I AM sent you,” God said.
In Exodus 34, we read the Lord went on to proclaim His name more fully…
Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s and the children to the third and fouth generation.” So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped. Exodus3 34:5-8
Earlier, God said His name was I AM. Now He finishes the sentence.
- He said, “I AM merciful.” The first thing God wanted Moses to know about His character was that He was merciful. What is Mercy? Mercy is not getting what you deserve. Jeremiah said it is because of the Lord’s mercy that we are not consumed (Lamentations 3:22). Think of your activities and attitudes during the past two years or even the past two weeks or two hours and you’ll know we all deserve to be fried. But God doesn’t give us what we deserve.
- God said, “I AM gracious.” What is grace? Grace is undeserved, unearned,
unmerited favor. If mercy is not getting what we deserve, grace is getting what we don’t deserve.
- God said, “I AM longsuffering. Even when My people turn from Me, I don’t give up on them.
- God said, “I AM abundant in goodness.” I’m so glad that our God is abundant in
goodness. I think of the deities of Canaan-capricious, evil, cruel, wicked gods all.
But the true and living God is abundant in goodness. He is genuinely, thoroughly good.
- God said, “I AM truth.” God doesn’t change with the latest fad in philosophy. Therefore, you can build your life around Him.
That is the God we serve. No wonder Solomon likens it to a strong tower that will keep the righteous safe. The problem, however, is most of the time we feel anything but righteous. Therefore, out tendency is to think we can’t run to the LORD because we haven’t prayed for days or because we haven’t had devotions for weeks.
Oh, but we can. The name of the LORD is a strong tower. The righteous run to Him and are safe. Who are the righteous? 2 Corinthians 5:21 says we are the righteousness of God. Is it because we are sinless? No. Is it because we are obedient? No. It is because we are in Christ Jesus. I am righteous because I’m in Christ Jesus, covered and clothed by His righteousness. So are you. Therefore, together we can run to Him and find mercy and grace, longsuffering, goodness, and truth-everything we need. God proclaims this in Exodus 33. And Jesus explained it in the life He lived among us.
“I AM the way, the truth, and the life,” He said. “I AM the bread. I AM the living water. I AM the door. I AM the vine.” May you minister in His name. May you run to His name. May you cling to Him in time of need, trial, and distress. The name of the LORD is a strong tower indeed.

Time in the soul room with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit
I want you to stop right now, take 15 minutes, please join me as I ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what God is telling us as we read the scripture below. Write it down, underline key words or circle them but spend some time with God right now.
32) Now therefore, listen to me, my children, for blessed are those who keep my ways, 33) hear instruction and be wise and do not disdain it. 34) blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. 35) for whoever finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord; 36) but he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; all those who hate me love death. Proverbs 8:32-36 NKJV
- Verse 32 – This morning God by His word through the Holy Spirit is telling me, “My child, listen to Me, blessed are those who keep my ways.” “Listen to Me, please take the time to stop and listen.” I want to bless you with My abundance today. You must embrace My ways for your life. Are you listening?
- Verse 33 – “Hear My instruction and don’t reject it. I am giving you instruction that will help and bless you. Receive it and apply it, this is wisdom. Can you hear me are you listening?
- Verse 34 – “Oh how happy you will be by listening to Me daily watching and waiting at My gates at the post of My doors. I love you and want to reveal My ways to you every day of your life. I have a treasure chest with your name on it and it is filled with many blessings that I have for you. Are you listening, can you hear me my child?”
- Verse 35 – “My wisdom is for you, look for Me and when you find Me you will have found My word is life, it is living and alive. You will obtain favor, I am the Lord. I want you to have an amazing life. My life, the life only I can give you.”
- Verse 36 – “Because I love you and I am warning you if you wrong me, you are damaging your soul and when you reject me, you’re flirting with death. My child won’t you come and sit with Me each and every day so you will not miss what I have for you. Then you can go and tell my other children what I have given you.
The Message says it this way:
“So, my dear friends, listen carefully; those who embrace these my ways are most blessed. Mark a life of discipline and live wisely; don’t squander your precious life. Blessed the man, blessed the woman who listens to me, awake and ready for me each morning, alert and responsive as I start my day’s work. When you find me, you find life, real life to say nothing of God’s good pleasure. But if you wrong me, you damage your very soul; when you reject me, you’re flirting with death.” Proverbs 8:32-36 MSG
God desires to spend time with each one of us. He wants to communion with us, have a relationship with us that is a continuing love relationship that is real and personal. Do you have that relationship with him? If you do, praise God! If you don’t, you can start today, praise God!
I want to challenge you to read chapters 1–8 in the book of Proverbs. Chapter 8 speaks of the excellence of wisdom. In chapters 1-8 you will see the benefits of God’s wisdom, as you read and see the focus of these first eight chapters which has been likened to a woman, is identified as the eternal One and the life-giver who, according to the new testament is Jesus (John 1:1, 2, 11:25). Of course, God is neither male nor female; God transcends the human characteristic of gender but is described throughout scripture in both male and female terms.
Wisdom is seen completely in the person of Jesus.
I want to encourage you to seek wisdom and to spend time with God in the soul room each and every day.
God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit wants a relationship with you. He created you, He has a wonderful plan for you, His love is everlasting. Are you listening are you hearing God’s voice in your life?

LACK OF LOVE
- A nation will fall
- A family will fall
- A people will fall
L LORD of my life, He fills me with His love that I may love others! Romans 5:8-10, John 15:9-11
O Obey and abide in Him, His instructions and examples are what I need! John 13:14-15, 14:21-23
V Victorious in Jesus, be a Voice, talk of all His wondrous works! 1 John 5:4-5, John 15:15-16
E Everlasting, seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually! Psalm 105:4, John 6:47
Read 1 Corinthians 13:1-13
- Read it as Paul wrote it.

- Read it silently as a prayer to your own life. Put your name in the place of love in verse 4.
THE RESOLUTION FOR MEN
13) Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.
14) Do everything in LOVE. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14) NIV
Read “The Resolution,” from the book “Resolution for Men,” from the Courageous Bible Study.
“The points in this Resolution are key things God has commanded us to do in Scripture, and we should take them very seriously. This is not a list of short-range goals to consider. It’s not a decision you make on New Year’s Day and lay aside within a few weeks. This is a life resolution that you commit to, and then keep recommitting to for the rest of your days.”
Before God, to whom are you committing your resolve to? Your wife, your children and to yourself! You will need an accountability partner that you know and trust. Do you have that man in your life? If the answer is no! Pray and ask God to bring you a man who will hold you accountable to your resolution and to whom you will hold accountable to his. God will bring you that man into your life if it is truly your desire, this will change your life and help transform you into the man of God and Spiritual Leader the LORD has created you to be.
Quotes from “The Resolution For Men,” book:
- “Gods Word commands husbands and fathers to lovingly lead their homes.”
- “Men are being told they don’t have the permission or responsibility to lead. But the culture is not your authority. God is.”
- “Every human father is called to be a daily, physical representation of God to his children, to introduce Him to the next generation.
- “ the word father means “founder, source, chief, or leader.” The father of a nation, an invention, a company, or a movement is the one who helped bring it into existence.”
Be strong, and let us show ourselves courageous for the sake of our people and for the cities of our God; and may the LORD do what is good in His sight. ( 2 Samuel 10:12)
The Courageous study starts July 21, on Saturday’s 9 to 11 AM for 8 sessions ending on September 8, and a ceremony will be given on September 15 for all the families.
We will show the movie on Saturday July 14, in the community room 9:00 to11:30 AM.

Hebrews 13:5-6 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me.
I once met a poor women who earned a meager living through hard domestic labor but was a joyful, triumphant Christian. Another Christian lady, who was quite sullen, said to her one day, “Nancy I understand your happiness today, but I would think your future prospects would be sober to you. Suppose, for instance, you experience a time of illness and are unable to work. Or suppose your present employers move away, and you cannot find work elsewhere. Or Suppose- “Stop!” cried Nancy. “I never suppose.” “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). And besides, she added to her gloomy friend, “it’s all that supposing that’s making you so miserable. You’d better give that up and simply trust the Lord.”

I pray you are spending time in the Soul Room with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. I pray you are not being robbed of your time with God, in His presence, as He ministers to your every need and reveals His purposes and ways.
This month I want to go to a scripture in 1 Samuel 23:12-14:
Then David said, “Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?” And the Lord said, “They will deliver you.” So David and his men, about six hundred, arose and departed from Keilah and went wherever they could go. Then it was told Saul that David had escaped from Keilah: so he halted the expedition. And David stayed in strongholds in the wilderness, and remained in the mountains in the wilderness of Ziph, Saul sought him every day, but God did not deliver him into his hand.
Ziph literally means “refining place.” What a great place for David to go – a place where God will refine him. In the refining process, a smelter would heat ore to the point that it became liquid, with all the impurities burned away. The smelter would know the process was complete when he could look in the pot of liquid ore and see his own face, So to the Lord says to us, “I’m going to allow the heat to be turned up a bit, to burn out the impurities in you so that people might see something of Me in your life.”
C.H. Spurgeon said that affliction is the tuner of the harp and the sanctifier of the son. I like that. How did David have such intimacy with the Lord, such passion for the Lord, such understanding of the Lord that He could write the psalms he wrote? His passion, wisdom and understanding came from places like Ziph and Keilah – where people were chasing him down, where he was betrayed by people he had helped, where he would feel forsaken and alone – where God could deal with him.
If you will read all of chapter 23 in 1 Samuel you will see David after saving the people of Keilah from the Philistines had to leave Keilah ( to come from) and went to Ziph ( refining place).
Sometimes the Lord will take us from a place were He is doing a mighty work through us into a place of refining. My question to you is how will you respond when God does this in your life? You see this is a part of our walk with God it will happen and sometimes it will be longer than we would like. Please know that through it all God is strengthening and preparing you as He was David for a great and mighty work in and through Him.
This is a time for each of us to enter into a more intimate relationship with the Lord as He purifies us removing the impurities so that people will see His reflection in us. Amen.
Prayer To God:
O LORD, come with your fire, burn my desires, refine me.
Father, my will has deceived me won’t you please come and
free me from my desires within me, refine me.
Father I pray, your will in me in order to free me, Your desires in me, refine me.
O FATHER, please come and free me, come with Your fire, burn the impurities from me, refine me.
My heart can’t see when I only look at me
My soul can’t hear when I look at my own fear
Please rescue this child that I may be reconciled
Refine me, O LORD, Refine me

Sunday morning soul room time with God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
My scripture reading today is from Job 19:1-29. ( The most meaningful scripture the
Holy Spirit revealed to me this morning was Job 19:23-27 ) “Oh, that my words were
written! Oh, that they were inscribed in a book! That they were engraved on a rock with
a iron pen and lead, forever! For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at
last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see
God, Whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my
heart yearns within me!”
Job lost his seven sons and three daughters. He lost all 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500
yoke of oxen, 500 female donkeys and most of his servants. All in one day Job lost
everything. (Job chapter 1) Job on another day was smitten with painful boils from the
sole of his foot to the crown of his head (Job 2:7) Job’s wife told him to curse God and
die! (Job 2:9) Job had three friends who gave him their opinion on his situation telling
him all this happened to him because he was living in sin and wickedness. They had no
idea what was taking place in Job’s life. Job was suffering because God was contesting
with Satan. Job never knew that, nor did any of his friends. Job in the midst of disaster
and pain made this statement in (Job 19:25&26) “For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and He shall stand at last on this earth. And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in
my flesh I shall see God.”
Job knew God by name, God called him “my servant” Job. He feared God and shunned
evil, he was faithful in trusting God. Job had a continuous love relationship with God
that was real and personal. Even though he did not understand the circumstances or the
situation of his disasters, the sorrows and sufferings that were both mental and physical,
the pain he was experiencing, Job continued to place is faith and trust in God. He would
not curse God, as Satan claimed he would. He had an unfailing trust and belief in God’s
divine wisdom as Sovereign God. That the God he knew was his Redeemer. “The essence
of redemption centers on two truths; the recovery of that which is lost and the liberation
of that which is bound.”
At the point of Job’s greatest despair, his faith appeared at it’s highest as he
confidentially affirmed that God was his Redeemer. Job wanted that confidence in the
record for all to know (Job 19:23&24). God granted Job his request that God was Job’s
Redeemer. Job knew even though his life looked hopeless, he was confident that “after”
he was dead, his Redeemer would vindicate him in the glory of a physical (from my
flesh) resurrection in which he would enjoy perfect fellowship for eternity with the
Redeemer. Jesus Christ is that Redeemer this is the clear message of the gospel.
As we enter into the Easter weekend and acknowledge Jesus who came and died on
the cross for all of our sins and rose from the dead after three days, having victory over
death and Satan, God sent His Son our Redeemer, so that we may have eternal life in his
Son. So that as Job knew we can know our redeemer lives and we will be with him for
eternity. I want to ask you, do you know Him? Do you know your Redeemer who loves
you and desires a real and personal relationship with you? By believing in Jesus Christ
you can know as Job knew that you will see Him face to face one day. Today is the day
you can tell Jesus that you believe in Him, ask Him to come and live in your heart, repent
of your sin asking Jesus to forgive you. Today! Do you know the Redeemer? That He
lives! And one day you shall see God for yourself. I pray you know Him and your heart
yearns within you to be with Him for eternity.

Please come and visit us on Tuesday nights, Men of the Rock is for men of all ages – we meet every
Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8:30 in the cafeteria! We are learning to Pray to God,
Worship God, Read God’s Word, Memorize God’s Word, Journal what God is revealing
to us and learning to be accountable to one another together in fellowship.
With just one look at the issues facing men, it is easy to see the enemy pursues Christian men with greater intensity than those who are not in the family of Christ. The result is we wage a daily battle. What are you doing to prepare yourself?
Most men do not believe they can have a continuing love relationship with Jesus that is real and personal.
- Most men do not believe God wants a relationship with them.
- Most men don’t know how to listen and discern the voice of God, identify ways He speaks, and respond to revelations of His will.
- Satan has done a good job of defeating most men because they have bought into the words of a liar.
Most men do not know that a Man Of God is based on God’s Word. They don’t have a good understanding of the Word of God. They have not been taught how to be the Spiritual Servant Leader God has created them to be in their marriages and families, work places, church and community.
- Over 70% of men that come into this ministry did not have a father who raised them, much less a father who had a relationship with God.
- What the world is teaching men about being a man is far from the truth.
- Most men are unwilling to come to Jesus in absolute surrender to His Lordship without setting any conditions.
- Most men do not recognize God working around them, and want to join Him in that work.
- Most men do not have an accountability person in their lives and do not know how to go about having an accountability relationship that is transparent. They don’t understand the importance of it and how it will change their lives.
- Most men do not know how to pray to God, worship God, read and understand God’s Word, or the importance of memorizing God’s Word, journaling what God is revealing to them and being held accountable.
- Most men do not know how to respond in a manner that honors and glorifies God when they are experiencing trials.
- Most men have pornography issues in their lives that will destroy marriages.
- Drug & Alcohol addictions are ruining men’s lives and those around them.
- Divorce and broken marriages are growing because of men leading prideful, self-centered live without God.
- Men are facing financial crisis and ruin resulting in anger, loss of self-control, bitterness, pity, shame, guilt and low self esteem.
Unforgiveness is running rapid in men’s lives because of
- abuse: sexual and mental as a child
- abandonment: from a young age
- lack of a father figure while growing up
- lack of trust in anyone or anything
- lack of confidence
- lack of belief in God
- angry at everything and at God
- There is a lot of compromise in the lives of most men, and they are justifying their compromises, looking for the easy way out.
I want to pass on the challenge Pastor Miles has given the men of the Rock Church with: pray for one hour everyday spending time with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. If you are dealing with any of the above issues, I want to encourage you to take them captive and lay them at God’s feet asking Him to empower you to overcome these issues in your life. Please come join us on MOTR Tuesday Nights in the cafeteria, 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
Together, we can learn how to have a continuous love relationship with Jesus that is real and personal. Let us learn to yield our burdens to Jesus as He helps us to overcome the issues in our lives, transform our hearts and renew our minds.
Romans 12:2: Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
